“1st International Conference of Greek Stevia”,
which will take place on March 1-3, 2013
at the Valis Resort in Volos, Greece,
under the auspices of Hellenic Republic: Ministry of Rural Development & Food, Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, Ministry of Tourism, Region of Thessaly, Municipality of Volos, University of Thessaly.
The University of Agribusiness & Rural Development of Bulgaria.
Also the Hellenic Diabetes Association, the Hellenic Chef’s Club and others.
The proceedings of the Conference will be opened by the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Maximos Charakopoulos.

This Conference aims to bring together important people who are involved in Stevia production and market, such as University professors, agronomists, entrepreneurs, as well as a wide range of international media audience.
Delegates from Foreign Embassies in Greece, as well as Senior Government Officers, are invited to this Stevia meeting in Volos, particularly those engaged in the commercial and agricultural sector.
The conference will take place in the city of Volos in Magnesia, Central Greece, a blessed land, where legend of the Centaurs, beauty and history merge. It is from here that Jason, in search of the Golden Fleece, set sail for the faraway Colchisin his ship Argo.
Volos is the third largest port in Greece, and the region of Thessaly is the most important agricultural area in Greece. Chamber of Magnesia is our co-organizer. We also have the support of Pelion Development Intitute. More information will be released within the next few weeks.
